Coffee adventure by Alexandra Micháliková

My awards in the ,,Slovak Barista Cup Junior competition“ was a ten day trip to

Brazil.

Our journey started in the famous city of Rio de Janeiro, where we spent two days.

We stopped at Copacabana Beach. We have visited the statue of Jesus Christ

and the café, which belongs among ten the most beautiful in the world.

On our trip we moved to Sao Paulo and our main adventure began. In this city we

have visited a lot of coffeeshops, each was different and special in something.

Also we have visited 3 coffee farms. The farms were nice, interesting, but each of

them had something different.

I enjoyed the most the farm we visited the next. Besides the coffee in the farm,

they also have been cultivating bananas, oranges, mandarins and others. The

whole farm is run by 60-year-old spouses and one brigadier. The couple had a lot

of love and goodness, what is not obvious for many people today. For all these

they have my big admiration.

Our adventure ended by stopping in Rome, where we have visited St. Patrick's

Square. Thanks to this opportunity, I have gained a lot of new experiences and

knowledge, and I met many amazing people.

I certainly wish to return to this great country.
